Rather than dismissed, Dennis Norfleet is reportedly suspended

Well, we can say with some certainty that Dennis Norfleet is currently not a member of Michigan's football team.

Days after his high school coach said Norfleet had told him he was no longer with the program, ESPN cites multiple sources that say Norfleet is currently suspended from the team rather than dismissed.

From ESPN:

"There's no finality right now to what's going on," said Terel Patrick, an assistant at Detroit's Martin Luther King Jr. High School who is helping Norfleet sort through his options. "He didn't have the best semester academically. He's working through some issues right now. He's been suspended from team activities, but it's not final as far as his position."

Martin Luther King Jr. coach Dale Harvel said Tuesday to MLive.com that Norfleet told him he and head coach Jim Harbaugh had a disagreement and Norfleet was let go.

Norfleet posted this on his Instagram page Wednesday, with an accompanying message that said the following:

I've been crying so much I have no more tears to give I just want to give an apology to all the Michigan fans and the Michigan alumni last but not least my team. We been through it all we all have the same goals that we want to reach but I've been talking to God everything is going to be alright for those who don't know what's going on... Trust me I will be okay things happen for reason #MajQr

Michigan has declined comment on Norfleet's status with the team, calling it an internal matter. A senior in 2015, Norfleet is the team's all-time leader in kickoff return yardage.
